On August 18, 2021, The Townsend Fire Company along with New Castle County Paramedics and Odessa Fire Company responded to a Motorcycle Accident on RTE 1 in the area of Drawyers Creek. One patient was assessed on scene and transported to CER by Trooper 4 and was listed in serious condition.  DSP is still investigating incident.
