The Townsend Fire Company is a proud combination fire company made up of dedicated career, part-time, and volunteer firefighters who serve with courage, commitment, and pride. Our department includes multiple full-time staff members across four shifts, each led by a Career Supervisor, along with a strong team of several part-time personnel.

Position requirements:

  • At least 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
  • NREMT and Delaware EMT
  • CPR and AED certification.
  • 1 Year Certified EMT (Emergency Medical Technician) experience preferred.
  • EVO endorsement preferred (within 120 days of hire).
  • Must be able to assist in lifting 200lb patient with partner
  • May not be a member of Townsend Fire Company
