In the early morning hours of  February 11th, the Townsend Fire Company was dispatched to a multiple vehicle crash with injuries on DuPont Pkwy, just south of H&H Corner. Units arrived to find two vehicles with heavy damage, spread across all four lanes of the highway. 268 took command and crews worked to assess, package and transport 1 patient to Christiana Hospital. Crews then assisted the Delaware State Police with searching for a second patient that appeared to have left the scene. Once the vehicles were removed from the scene, Townsend units cleared without incident.
