The Knox-Box key is used by the Fire and EMS service to make entry into a property after operational hours or if no one is home. For a example if a fire alarm is sounding and the fire crews do not see any obvious signs of a fire or other emergencies we can use the knox-Box keys to enter the property and not do any damage that is not necessary. For the ambulance, if someone is home and is having a medical emergency and is unable to unlock a door for the crews to get inside we can use the Knox-Box key and get to your family member to render assistance.
As a fire service we are dispatched to a majority of false alarms and the Knox-Box keys help us to help you from any unnecessary damage done to properties to ensure the safety of the public.

Instructions on ordering a Knox-Box.
Step 1.
Open link above.
Step 2.
Click on the fire maltese cross (Repid Entry Syste) will highlight red.
Step 3.
On the right side of the page you will see a product list. Go through the list an find the product that best suits your needs.
*Residential – We recommend the 3200 or 1650 series.
Step 4.
After you pick a product series, pick the color type, mount type and if you like to have tamper switch or not.
After you make these selections the page will organize to your need needs.
*Tamper switch will allow you to connect the Knox-Box to your alarm system.
Step 5.
Add it to your cart.
Step 6.
Fill in all the installation address info that applies to you home or business.
Product Usage – This is a required field.
If the Knox-Box is for a residence it will go under proerty Owner for Ordered By and residential for Product Usage.
Then Click on Save Address.
Step 7.
At this point you and add more product or chenkout.
Clicking on Chenkout will sand you to the “Create Account ” page.
Fill out all info on this page and click on the Create accout at the bottom of the page.

Place the Knox-Box at the main entry point the Fire and EMT crew will use.

After installation of the Knox-Box you need to call the Townsend fire Company so we can lock you keys up in the Knox-Box.
