At 1609 hours, on July 26th, The Townsend Fire Company (Station 26) was dispatched to a MVC with injuries at the intersection of DuPont Pkwy and Blackbird Forest Rd. Units arrived to find multiple vehicles spread throughout the intersection. B26's crew handled patient care and packaging, with the assistance of Rescue 26's crew, transporting one patient to the Middletown Emergency Department. Rescue 26's crew mitigated the scene, handling debris cleanup and information gathering. Command placed the scene under control and units returned after taking up, turning the scene over to Delaware State Police.
