Firefighters from Townsend Fire Company arrived at this single vehicle accident on Blackbird Landing Rd. to find a single patient trapped in this vehicle lodged in the trees. One person was transported to Christian hospital by trooper 4 in serious condition after a lengthy difficult extrication. On Aug 23, 2013 firefighters responded to this accident with the assistance of Middletown Fire Company, and New Castle County Medics. Delaware State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
