Joint Training with Citizens Hose of Smyrna, Station 44
On Monday, March 27th, Townsend was invited to train with Citizens Hose Company of Smyrna on a series of May Day drills, and we too full advantage of the invitation. The purpose of the drills are to teach firefighters what to do if in several different instances, they become trapped and/or disoriented, and receive a low air alarm. The props included:
Following a hose line in the right direction, out of the building prop
A low air alarm prop
A collapse entrapment prop
An up and over prop
A low head crawling prop
A special thank you to the officers and members of the Citizens Hose Company for the invitation. The training was great and gave us a valuable opportunity to train with a sister company, across county lines.
