On Tuesday the 29th at approximately 7:30am Station 26 was alerted for an MVC with Rollover at the above location. 1st Assistant Chief Ray Clark established command and confirmed rollover, and the entrapment of one patient, as well as, a broken utility pole. After rolling and breaking the utility pole, the truck landed upright, leaving the driver trapped. 26-8B worked with the crew from C-26 to free the patient. Station 27 was also alerted for additional resources. upon Rescue 27's arrival, the crew retrieved equipment from Station 26's ambulance and assisted with packaging the driver. Once removed, the driver was transported to the trauma center. The scene was turned over to Delaware State Police. Taylors Bridge Road remained closed until the pole and wires could be cleared.
