It is with deep sadness that the Townsend Fire Company announces the passing of Life Member and Fire Police Emeritus Raymond Barcus Sr. Mr. Barcus has been a member of the department for 40 years during this time he sat on the board of directors and various committees. Not only was he a lifetime member of the fire department he was also a life member of the New Castle County and Delaware State Fire Police Associations. Service will be held on Monday 5/21/18  at the Matthews-Bryson Funeral Home in Smyrna De 123 West Commerce St 19977.
Viewing is 1030 to 1200 with services to follow.  Interment will be at Odd Fellows Cemetery also in Smyrna on N DuPont Hwy. This will be a fireman's funeral. Anyone wishing to participate please contact Fire Chief Rickie Clark Jr at 302-256-6794
